Is multi-tasking your thing? 📢 Are you usually stressed or relaxed…

Updated: Aug 7

I guess the answers in the question. In a recent complimentary mentoring sessions, one of the people I advised was particularly stressed about her work and personal life. Going through difficult medical conditions didn’t make it easy to resolve either. She mentioned she had to multi task like chew on 2 or more things at work or at home otherwise she would get terribly bored? How many of you feel this way? Well your not alone. More and more people seem to be getting infected (if I can use this term) with the multi-tasking as a cure for boredom. 🛑 While multi-tasking didn’t help either – it worsened the outcomes she was seeking and made her more stressed and anxious about every moment of her life. I seem to notice this more and more, is there a way out? Having worked with children for a while, teens predominately, later adults I have observed changes to one’s stress levels when they followed a certain daily discipline and process. >> Would you like to know more? Do these 5 things 💊 consistently for 21 days to be able to see positive changes to your stress levels. Pick one task as your absolute minimum commitment to do every day – again for next 21 days. >> ✳ Do some gardening – even taking care of one potted plant is gardening – plants have a way of destressing us – more than we can tell. >> ✳ Do some cleaning chore – in silence – no talking, no media, no music. One simple chore – ironing, utensils, cleaning your study table or things like this. >> ✳ Don’t check your phone for 5 minutes after you wake up – Do it for 15-30 minutes when you can. >> ✳ Don’t check your phone for the last 30 minutes before you sleep. >> ✳ Practice silent time by yourself – outside your home/room for 15 minutes – don’t close your eyes, don’t chant, no music, no media. The day you can do one or more of these practices, your stress levels will reduce significantly. Try this out – as a little experiment on yourself 💯 If you like this post and think it could help a colleague or a friend then do share this with them.
